Spring Surprise No. 1: Wine & Cheese Tasting

Just 20 people will snag a seat at the Star Provisions tasting table.

We're rolling out a series of small events to kickstart your spring. The first: a private wine and cheese tasting for just 20 people at Star Provisions, Atlanta’s world-class cheese shop, on Wednesday, March 25 at 7pm. In about an hour, their cheesemonger and sommelier will show you how to pair wine with cheese like a pro. Five cheeses and at least three wines, to be specific.

Stick around afterwards to mix, mingle, and shop if you like. The space includes a full-service bakery, a butcher, and a place to find the perfect kitchen accessories. We've only got 20 spots at the table. Reserve yours before they're gone.

The Atlanta Nutcracker Takeover

We're turning the Atlanta Ballet's Nutcracker into a gay bar on December 11.

The Atlanta Nutcracker Takeover

We're turning the Atlanta Ballet's Nutcracker into a gay bar on December 11.

It's time to make the Yuletide gay. The Welcoming Committee is taking over the Atlanta Ballet's performance of The Nutcracker at the Fox Theatre on Thursday, December 11. There’s Tchaikovsky’s music. All of your childhood memories. And, of course, rows upon rows of dancers in tights. So, we’re taking it over and turning it (or at least the intermission) into a gay bar, with tickets 22% off. Read on and join the takeover!

The Nutcracker runs 2 hours and includes one intermission. All TWC members will be sitting in the orchestra level together and, once the ballet concludes, will be invited to an after-party to keep the festivities going. We were also able to secure tickets for $45 without all of the processing fees, so the normal $62 ticket is now 22% off.

Want to watch the Nutcracker with your friends? Sign up as a group.

  • If you're coming with friends and want to buy all the tickets at once, simply click "Participate as an individual" and purchase as many tickets as you need. Under this option you will need to pick up all tickets for your group on the night of the performance using your ID.
  • If you’d rather buy tickets individually, click "Create a group" to make a group that you can share with your friends. You'll be seated together at the show but each of you will need to pick up your tickets individually.

Picking up your tickets:
Tickets can be picked up at will-call at the Fox Theatre on the night of the performance during regular box office hours. Be sure you have your ID when you check-in in order to get your tickets.

Hot Chocolate 5k Takeover

Prancercise your way to chocolate heaven.

Hot Chocolate 5k Takeover

Prancercise your way to chocolate heaven.

Everything is better with chocolate. Especially running 3.1 miles with a bunch of homogays! TWC is taking over the Hot Chocolate 5k on Sunday, January 25. You may have heard of the little road race toward a tremendous amount of tastiness. But what does this mean for you? Here's your just desserts:

First, you'll pick up your swag bag, which contains a seksi hoodie for you to keep. Next, our big, gay group will meet at Turner Field in our sporty stretchypants. Then we're gonna shake our bon bons a measly few miles. Toward CHOC-O-LATE. Like, a lot of it. At the end of the run/walk/jog, you'll be rewarded with a mug of chocolate fondue, things to dip in it, and of course, some hot cocoa. There's also a post-party with a DJ. Sweet.

So, come run (but mostly eat) with LGBTQ friends and make some new ones at the run (binge). We're gonna be the tastiest gays in the Peach. Ticket sales have ended. See you at the tasty race!
