Polish your miniature binoculars, we're going to the opera. Posh Philadelphians' favorite place to see and be seen, Opera Philadelphia is ripe for a takeover. (What's a takeover, you ask? Well, here's your answer.)
So, on February 7, 2014, at 8pm, we'll bring dozens of LGBTQs together to see Ainadamar by Osvaldo Golijov, an opera so fancy it has two subtitles: Fountain of Tears and An Opera in Three Images. Various major news organizations have called it "ingenious," "extraordinary," and "mesmerizing," all of which you can read about here. Of course, because it's the first Friday of the month, we'll be after-partying at a conveniently located GQB.
We have tickets in the third balcony (called "The Amphitheater") at 30%. You'll pick them up at the box office the night of the performance. TWCers will be sitting together, so don't be afraid to show up stag and make some new friends. We'll be there to welcome you.
If you are bringing a group, we've enabled group registration to make things easier. Just hit "create a group," and once you sign up Eventbrite will create a group page for you to send out so your friends can join you!
